Audrey Hepburn, one of fashion's great icons would have turned 85 this year. I spend a lot of time on this blog writing about Hollywood's other Hepburn but today this post is all Audrey.
Why have we all fallen so hard for Audrey? With her dainty beauty, classic style and scene stealing performances it's easy to see why 60 years later stars still reference Audrey on red carpets and countless girls wear mama's pearls, sunglasses and LBD come Halloween.
For me, classic Audrey style is always polished, easy and chic. It's a look that works for so many people because it requires gorgeous basics, classic cuts and really great accessories. It's about style, not fashion.
So, without further ado, I give you today's Audrey Inspo:
Of course, the cornerstone of (almost) any Audrey look is going to be a great white shirt. It's the perfect piece to pair with slim cropped pants or a sweet little midi-skirt with a nipped in waist.
If you're a fan of flats, you're in luck. Slip on a pair of ballet flats for touring the city or an embellished pair for cocktails. When it's time for heels, a simple pair of sandals are perfection.
Other essential accessories include a sleek clutch (I'd like to think she picked this up on a Roman Holiday), discrete studs, a major hat and sunnies for hiding last night's sins and a little nourishment in the form of a cuppa coffee and a croissant.
