This weekend is sure to be filled with Chinese New Year celebrations, have you picked out your outfits yet?
We're opting for something fairly traditional, a bright red topper with luxurious gold accents. What it may lack in originality is made up for in spades with festive spirit.
This look is perfectly simple and chic. Is there a combo more striking than black, white and red?
We've started with our favorite luxurious basics, a cap sleeve silk blouse and cropped wool trousers. The trousers leave just a few inches of ankle showing, perfect for highlighting your killer heels (you can't see it here, but these pumps are encrusted with glass beads). A gold statement clutch lends a bit of glamour and the bright red coat's portrait collar perfectly frames the pièce de résistance, a gold dipped pearl headband.
But please, resist the urge to add any more bling, this is not the year of the gilded goat.
