is Nicole Pollard Bayme, an Los Angeles based entrepreneur and style maven who has founded both LaLaLuxe
and Bikini Cleanse
LaLaLuxe is a concierge service that allows women to fulfill their fashion fantasies. Whether that's having a fabulous girlfriend help you overhaul your closet (
sometimes we all need to be told what's what), interpret the season's trends and act as a personal shopper, or tracking down a must have piece to bring on your exotic holiday. Inspired by her grandmother's distinctive, glamorous style and her own adventures abroad, Nicole created LaLaLuxe from a wish to share her passion for helping people look their best in the world.
Nicole has an incredible eye for layering rich details, a Chinese silk scarf, 1920s vintage gold earrings from Spain, a handwoven pashmina from Egypt. All little details that can't be found in a shopping mall and help her clients cultivate a inimitable personal style.
Now, a new wardrobe is great and all, but if we're feeling less than 100% our personal best, what's the point? Before a last-minute vacation to Hawaii, Nicole consulted friends and nutritionists to create a pre-travel cleanse for herself. She left feeling lighter and more confident and Bikini Cleanse was born!
Nicole now lives steps from the sand in Los Angeles with her husband, Ari, and continues to pursue for helping people both look and feel their best!
We gave Nicole our "Unbuttoned with" questionnaire, and I have to say, I love her responses. Here they are:
Unbuttoned with... Nicole Pollard Bayme
Carmen Miranda and Elizabeth Taylor
Dream lunch date:
Maya Angelou and Richard Branson
Thunder only happens when it’s raining.
“Happiness is not a destination but a manner of travel… pack accordingly.”
Idea that changed your life:
The moment I realized I was capable and worthy of anything
Always trying to improve:
Being mindful, staying in the moment, and saying “f&*k” less
Most envious of:
A fast metabolism and those who can remember song lyrics
Most inspired by:
My best ideas come to me on vacations. Creating space in the brain allows for creativity and original thought to run wild.
Fashion item you would ban:
Sandals with socks
Favorite piece in your wardrobe:
It’s a tie between my vintage ostrich feather Givenchy jacket and my Pachamama Mexican wedding dress from Sayulita.
Caspian caviar on baked potatoes, first class flights, concierge membership at SoulCycle and haircuts by Anh Co Tran
Can’t bare to spend on:
Expensive mascara and dog grooming (I do it myself!)
Irrational fear of:
Bees and any type of needle – I’m the girl on the floor when she gets her blood drawn.
Brains or beauty:
Both, but if I really had to choose one, it would be brains. I find humor, generosity and kindness to create a beauty that captivates all. Diana Vreeland said it best, “You don’t have to be pretty. You don’t owe prettiness to anyone. Not your boyfriend/spouse/partner, not your co-workers, especially not to random men on the street. You don’t owe it to your mother, you don’t owe it to your children, you don’t owe it to civilization in general. Prettiness is not a rent you pay for occupying a space marked “female”.”
Audrey or Katharine Hepburn:
Katharine. She broke barriers with her high-waisted pants and helped allow female entrepreneurs, like myself, to have a voice and use it.
Jennifer Lopez or Lawrence:
JLo. That skin. Her drive. She is a goddess. Lawrence is the new kid on the block. She has a lot to learn before she comes anywhere close to goddess status.
Diamonds or pearls:
Both! Diamond earrings and a pearl G-string are a must in every woman’s wardrobe.
