Gladiators, mount up!
Today's Friday Find is dedicated to the gladiator sandal. A trend that has had some surprising staying power over the last few seasons.
A good gladiator looks absolutely phenomenal on off duty models and 18 year olds. For the rest of the population, they can be a bit tricky but nothing some clever styling can't handle. Here's my take on how just about anyone can wear the trend.
Choose your weapon
You don't need multiple pairs in your closet. Instead, focus on one that suits you and looks fantastic.
Not ready for a major commitment? Try an ankle height pair. The nude color tones the style down even more for ultra versatility. You'll be able to wear a pair of ankle wrap gladiators with just about anything, even cropped or cuffed denim.
Those with short legs or looking for a less extreme version of the trend will absolutely love a pair with a stacked heel that laces to about mid-shin.
Ready to go all out? Go for a pair that laces to (or above) the knee. This is the best option if you love showing off your legs. Not only will it highlight your knee caps, the style pretty much requires mico minis and shorts.
I love the idea of going monochromatic with the rest of the outfit when sporting gladiators. #1, this will keep the attention exactly where you want it, on your fab new sandals. #2, it makes the whole outfit just a little bit cooler and toned down... effortless. Earlier in the week we went bronze, today it's blush. Groundbreaking. I know.
Here, the sandals are paired with a classic silk shirt, clean shorts, bare makeup and a demure bucket bag. Again, all totally effortless and probably things you already have in your closet.
