Prints have been on heavy rotation in my wardrobe this summer. They're the perfect way to lay the foundation for a great ensemble. Take these Dolce & Gabbana shorts, for example. The floral pattern is right on trend and all of the colors found in the print are very wearable.
I think it's nice to pick up one of the less-dominate shades in a print, so I've paired these shorts with the Bettie silk shirt in Pin Up Queen Green (although Stark Naked White and Pink Teasearama would work well too). I love the Bettie shirt with shorts because you can play with the buttons depending on how much you want to reveal. If you want to tone down the skimpiness of the shorts, your shoulders and tummy are covered. If you're feeling more daring, unbutton and tie till your heart is content!
How cute is the Felix Rey pineapple straw bag? It screams "summer". Finish it off with yellow sunnies (Jimmy Choo), a floppy straw hat (ASOS) and simple sandals (Zara). Now that was easy, wasn't it?
Happy Friday, y'all!
